Public transport in Mallorca is basically managed by two different companies that coordinate their efforts with the aim of achieving technological and fare integration. The Municipal Transport Company (EMT) is the municipal company of Palma City Council that manages the collective urban passenger transport in the city of Palma and its surroundings. Its bus network covers routes and journeys exclusively within the city of Palma de Mallorca and some neighbouring areas. On the other hand, the buses and coaches of the company Transporte Público Interurbano de Mallorca (TIB, managed by the Consorcio de Transportes de Mallorca, CTM) cover the routes that link the capital with the different towns and cities on the island. In other words, the company Transporte Público Interurbano de Mallorca (TIB) manages the interurban public transport service.

The company Transporte Interurbano de Mallorca (TIB), managed by the Consorcio de Transportes de Mallorca (CTM), is in charge of managing the buses that will take you from Palma de Mallorca to the different towns and cities of the island or vice versa.

Last Minute Single Intercity Bus Ticket
The last minute single ticket is the ticket paid directly when boarding the bus. It is the most expensive ticket in the fare system. It has to be paid in cash on the bus. This ticket can only be paid for with paper money up to 20 euros.

The bank card (Visa, Mastercard and Maestro), both debit and credit, allows you to travel on the TIB network in Mallorca without having to purchase a ticket beforehand. Night bus: EMT NitBus in Palma de Mallorca
The Palma de Mallorca City Council offers all users a special night bus service. The EMT Nitbus has four lines and operates all year round on Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of public holidays from 11:30 pm to 6:30 am.
